Ammar Qaseem obtained his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Aden, Yemen, before working in the programming field at University of Aden.
In 2014, he obtained his master's degree (M.Sc.) in applied computer science from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Freiburg. The master thesis was titled "Large scale multiple genome alignments via an efficient kernel method". During this time he also worked as an IT administrator at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, Freiburg.
Currently, he is doing his Ph.D. in the Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics lab, focusing on machine learning, text mining, and database-related topics.
