ADIÉ À MOUMBOCK Aurélien Fleury completed his bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minor in petroleum engineering at the University of Buea, Cameroon. He obtained a master's degree in chemistry from the same university. His master's thesis titled: “1-Aryl- and 1-Heteroaryl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolines: Synthesis, Biological Evaluation and Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) Studies”, was in the field of medicinal chemistry. During this postgraduate program, he also participated in pharmaconogsy and computational chemistry projects, notably in the development of the NANPDB database.
His doctoral studies entails the identification of hit/lead(s) from the NANPDB through virtual high throughput screening (vHTS) and fragment-based target detection methodologies; the subsequent chemical synthesis and biological evaluation of the aforementioned putative bioactive molecules in order to unveil potential drug candidates.
